By working together as a team, we’ve developed a clear process that pools resources, shares expertise, and leverages public-private partnerships to provide communities–large, small, rural, urban, and Indigenous–a clear process to support the deisgn and construction of child care infrastructure.

Why we're doing this

In May 2024, the federal government announced $78.5 million over four years to help build more inclusive childcare spaces across Alberta. This investment was aimed at helping Alberta reach its goal of building up to 68,700 new childcare spaces by 2026. Through a proven model, Global Builds partners with communities to unlock these funds and deliver childcare infrastructure across Alberta.

Building a daycare facility requires extensive planning and administrative, safety, legal, and financial oversight. By working with early learning and childcare experts, municipal planners, architects, builders and partners, we can help deliver state-of-the-art childcare facilities on time and on budget to keep pace with demand.
